LISTENING 1 (ENGLISH DEPARMENT)

I. Overview of the Course:
- Subject: Listening 1
- Credit: 2
- Period: 30 (2 periods / week)

II. Objectives: Upon completion the course, students will be able to:

1. Knowledge: 
- List the keywords on the lesson.
- Write the main ideas of the listening tasks.
- Distinguish the phonetic, pronunciation, intonation through the context

2. Skill:

- Take notes and transform information in simple way.
- Do listening exercises at pre-intermediate level.
- Guess the situation and paraphrase the content in different way. 

3. Attitude:
- Build your carefulness and concentration.
- Build their consciousness of listening habit and self-study skill. 

III. Scoring frame:
- Attendance: 10%
     + Absence 0: 10
     + Absence 2: 5
     + Absence 3: 0
     + Absence 7: 0 (On Class)

- Self-study: 10%
     + Completed homework: 10%
     + 1 missing homework: 8%
     + 2 missing homework: 5%
     + 3 missing homework: 2%
     + 4 missing homework: 0%

- On-going test: 10%

- Midterm test: 20%
